Have you ever looked back on your life and wanted to kick yourself in the ass for associating with someone for way too long? Do you ever wonder why you tolerated things from people that you wouldn’t tolerate at all today? Yea, me too. A lot happened after I returned home to California. It’s true… Continue reading Church Makes Everything Better, Right?

If you wonder who the writer is and where my points of view came from, take a read through the chapters of my early life. My family faced the kind of trauma that people think will never happen to them and I truly believe that witnessing a horrific accident and watching everyone around me unravel from the time I was 4 years old. I started out on a mission to break the cycle and live my best life. It has not been easy and there is a lot left to tell but when you read something about me or an opinion I share, you will know it is because I can deeply empathize with the struggle of being human, being a woman, and being the sincerely good person my heart wants to be in a world that is not always good.
Going Back to Cali…
I moved back to California and left it all behind in Washington. I left my furniture behind, packing only what I could fit in my Chevy Cavalier. It was me, my clothes and personal items, again. I was driving the Cascade Mountains the reverse route, back to California. I’m not sure how I felt or… Continue reading Going Back to Cali…

Remember, Your Kids are Watching.

Your children were not put on this earth to pick up the slack or handle the overflow… Continue reading To Parent or not to Parent?
Someone Forgot to Tell me About College
Jobs? I’ve had more than my share. When I was 14 I started working in the summer as a filing clerk for the construction company where my mom worked in accounts payable. This was before computers so I became a paperwork champion. My task list was small and I got bored quickly. I got nosey… Continue reading Someone Forgot to Tell me About College
Childhood. What’s that?
Before I go any further with the present, I want you to understand my beginning. I want you to understand why I deeply empathize with the human struggle and why I take it very personal when people judge people who have less or are struggling. In August, 1980, my dad broke his neck after diving into our… Continue reading Childhood. What’s that?
When a Ginger Snaps
You are alone. Scary, right? It's true. I woke up at 40 years old and this reality hit me like a truck. I am alone. That doesn't mean that I don’t have anybody. It doesn't mean that you don’t have anybody. What it means is that when life gets real and you face the hardest… Continue reading When a Ginger Snaps
